We know it&rsquo;s not all about explaining what we know, but about the questions our students ask that lead to their own knowledge&mdash;and the questions we ask to get to know them. Together, we construct knowledge, foster understanding, and build trust. Where there is trust, there is security and happiness, which creates the best environment for learning and growing.
Greene Hill students love coming to school! The days for our youngest, 4s and 5s, are structured and consistent, with daily outdoor play time, and a rest after lunch. They gather for shared experiences like read-alouds, songs, early literacy and math lessons, and co-curricular Team Teacher classes such as Spanish, Music, Visual ArtsLab, or Movement. Students use materials like blocks, paint, puzzles, and games. Great emphasis is placed on learning about what it means to be part of a classroom community, and finding joy in learning and exploring together.
