Police Searching for Hammer-Wielding Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a man who assaulted a 34-year-old man last month in Bed-Stuy.

According to police reports, on Thursday, June 11, at around 11:00 a.m., a man was struck numerous times about the face and neck by an unknown perpetrator outside of 934 Jefferson Avenue.

Following the incident, the suspect fled the location in an unknown direction. The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital where he was treated.

Anyone with information in regards to this assault is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).  The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website atWWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.  All calls are strictly confidential.
