Food Donations Accepted In Brooklyn This Holiday Season

Places nearby need donations this year.

It's always the season for giving, but it's especially important around the holidays. A can of food or a few hours to help prepare a meal can change the holidays for someone less fortunate.

Many organizations are in need of non-perishable and other food items, and it’s easy to donate around Brooklyn.

- Non-perishable items can be dropped off at your local fire department or police precinct.

- Most local churches will also accept non-perishable items and some even have soup kitchens during the week.

- Food Bank NYC is always accepting donations, and gifts can even be sent online.

- City Harvest is also accepting online donations.

- CHIPS soup kitchen in Park Slope needs volunteers and also takes donations.

-Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger food pantry, on Fulton between Saratoga and Howard avenues accepts donations, as well. 

God's Love We Deliver at 630 Flushing Ave is helping this holiday, as well.
