Book Signing Event with Earl Monroe and Quincy Troupe, authors of Earl the Pearl: My Story

Basketball Hall of Famer Earl “The Pearl” Monroe is a sports superstar whose flair and impact on the game transcends statistics. His game was the perfect combination of athletic ability and showmanship, and his personal life proved just as unpredictable as his style of play. Now, 40 years after helping lead the New York Knicks to their last NBA title, the player known as “Black Magic” tells his amazing story. Earl the Pearl: My Story was written with an able assist by Quincy Troupe (author of The Pursuit of Happyness), and takes Monroe from the playgrounds and hardships of his childhood in South Philadelphia to his status as a basketball legend.
