FATHER DAUGHTER DUO HELP

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT CELEBRATE FATHERHOOD

Daddy Daughter Publishing garners great support for Daddy Children’s day event

June 20, 2013, New York, NEW YORK— Saturday June 22nd, 2013 Bedford- Stuyvesant’s own father daughter publishing duo Ephraim Benton and Amber Benton team up with Bedstuy Y.E.S Task Force and the Von King Cultural Arts Center located at 670 Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn who will host the third annual Daddy Children’s Day event from 12pm to 4pm.

Ephraim and Amber Benton are the father daughter duo that makes up Daddy Daughter Publishing.  The accomplished pair is often active in their home community of Bedford- Stuyvesant; they have once again teamed up once with Von King Cultural Arts Center for their 3rd annual Daddy Children’s Day.  Daddy Daughter Children’s day is a free celebration of fatherhood with activities for the whole family including carnival games, arts & crafts, face painting, guest speakers and prize giveaways.

Benton states "It's been extraordinary to see something I created for dads, mentors or father figures to create a bond with their kids grow and receive so much support. This year we partnered up with the Bedstuy Y.E.S task force and got some great support from Game Changer Meetings charity organization to make the event bigger and better for the kids. The support is overwhelming people are showing up for the financially and with their presence Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes is expected to make an appearance and speak at the event.” Benton goes on to say “The additional support has allowed us to show our support for fathers.  This year two inspirational “Dad of the Year” awards will be bestowed upon great father figures one of whom is NYC council candidate district leader Robert E. Cornegy Jr.”

The event is free and open to the public.

Daddy Daughter Publishing has a focus on urban literacy and parental involvement. For additional information or to purchase books on-line go to www.daddydaughterpub.com.
