The Noel Pointer Foundation is a youth arts foundation that runs in-school music programming, serving children in 26 NewMore York City public schools and reaching more than 800 students. The foundation also runs its own music school, focusing on string instruments. The Noel Pointer School of Music provides private and group lessons on string technique, music theory and ear training as well as running a summer intensive program and string ensemble courses. Additionally, the foundation provides local students with music scholarships.

Since BSVAC was introduced more than 20 years ago, ambulance response times for the neighborhood plummeted from 30 minutes to about four minutes. BSVAC also looks to train as many people as possible in the neighborhood to become first responders, including both youth and adults.
