M.S. 6827, also known as the Bedford Stuyvesant Collegiate Charter School (BSC), is a public charter school, a partMore of the "Uncommon Schools" collegiate charter schools network. BSC shares the building with one middle school-- M.S. 267-- on the first and second floors and another charter school-- La Cima-- on the third floor.

BSC opened in 2008 to 140 5th graders. Today, the school has 221 5th, 6th and 7th graders. The school will  continue to add a grade until it is fully enrolled as a middle school and high school, serving grades 5 -1 2.

The mission of Bedford Stuyvesant Collegiate Charter School is to prepare each student for college. Parents are required to sign a "Family Accountability Contract," outlining their parental responsibilities to their child's education at the school.
