Built in 1907, the Macon Library is a two-story, Classical Revival building in Bedford-Stuyvesant's historic neighborhood. As a Brooklyn Public Library, Macon provides free resources and programming for the community. Additionally, the library hosts the African American Heritage Center (AAHC), with special research collections dedicated to Black history and culture, as well as the history of Bedford-Stuyvesant.
