The Brooklyn Tabernacle Deliverance Center is a treasure for its surrounding community. This Pentecostal persuasion church is housed within an impressively large building and operates a theology program where divinity studies go into doctoral programs, as well as a children's charter school. The Tabernacle also runs a non-profit after-school program for children whose parents have been incarcerated called Children of Promise. Its choir has made several recordings.
