<p>Founded in 2003, Brooklyn Excelsior Charter School is a private alternative school serving children grades K - 8. The school's principal is Dr. Thomas G. DeMarco. The school prides itself on its rigorous curriculum and high academic standards and strives to prepare its students for higher education.</p> <p>Brooklyn Excelsior is a part of the National Heritage Academies and is chartered by the State University of New York (SUNY).
