Founded in 1972 by the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation, the Billie Holiday Theatre is located on Fulton Street and Marcy Avenue. It is dedicated to providing entertaining and uplifting programs for the African/Caribbean American community, and presents three or four dramatic performances each season. It also offers programs for children and teens, as well as special shows that celebrate such holidays as Kwanzaa and the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.Visit the Billie Holiday Theatre website for a schedule of upcoming events.
