Cold Snap Expected to Ease Up By Wednesday Afternoon

Winds are expected to die down a bit by Wednesday, too.

Tuesday's frigid temperatures will be headed out soon, with highs in the 20s expected by Wednesday afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will jump into the low to mid-20s by Wednesday around Brooklyn. Winds will drop but will still be around 10-14 mph in areas by the water such as Red Hook.

Overnight, though, residents should bundle up; the cold snap will continue, with temperatures in the single digits across, and in the teens, across Brooklyn.

As the week progresses temperatures will continue to rise with highs in the 30s by Thursday and 40s by Friday.
