This past Saturday, , Bedford-Stuyvesant Youth, Education and Safety Task Force, along with the 79th and 81st precincts and the Youth Explorers came together to hand out flowers to more than 60 block and tenant associations for the second annual “Flower Bed-Stuy,” Day on Saturday, May 12, at 9:00 a.m.
This year’s Flower Bed Stuy Day will start at 300 Putnam Avenue between Nostrand and Marcy avenues. On this this annual day of Bed-Stuy beautification, residents work together to sweep and haul away dead bushes, and plant thousands of donated plants and flowers.
