Missing Bed-Stuy Citibike Rack Will Return 'Later This Week'
Missing rack to return after construction, according to Citibike.
Concerned bike commuters were up in arms earlier this week when a Citibike rack at Franklin Avenue and Lefferts Place was removed without notice.
But never fear, community bike enthuasiasts! According to Citibike, the rack will return "later this week," after it being removed for construction.
The rack's disappearance was a source of consternation for Citibike rider's who'd grown accustomed to using it for early morning commutes. One poster on the new Community Board 3 website claimed it "has totally disrupted the commutes of many residents."
A spokesperson for Citibike said the rack will return "later this week," (no date was specified) after it was removed because of construction.
In the meantime, riders are advised to use the racks on Macon and Nostrand or Hancock and Bedford.
