Get ready for Bed Stuy Alive! Live Healthy, Live Well, Live Green

Bed Stuy Alive 2012  is October 6^th through October 20^th.   This year, you don’t have to wait till October – the celebration starts this summer, with weekly activities promoting community health.

Bed-Stuy Healthy Families on the Move (Wednesdays at 6pm, 7/18 – 10/3)

Brooklyn Alliance for Safer Streets (BASS)  is hosting weekly walks, runs, and rides around Central Brooklyn! Accommodating all fitness levels, we invite you to come to Restoration Plaza (West Plaza at in front of Applebee's) Wednesday evenings this summer. Free warm-up exercises start at 6pm. The walks, runs, and rides leave promptly at 7pm.

Bed Stuy Alive! Kickoff (9am-5pm, Saturday, October 6)

The celebration begins, featuring street festivals with local vendors, and all the best that Bed Stuy has to offer.

Restoration Rocks! (Noon-5pm, Saturday , October 6)

Our annual concert, with live music by today’s great and up-and-coming stars.

Annual Restoration 10K Run (Sunday, October 7)

Restoration is proud to offer one of the premier 10k’s in NYC. This year, we are also organizing a 5k race and bike ride, further promoting the idea that  people of all fitness levels can get involved in taking control of their health.

Food and Family Day (Saturday, October 13)

Co-hosted by Coalition for the Improvement of Bedford Stuyvesant and Brooklyn Community Foundation. A day-long event featuring cooking, gardening, and health workshops, free giveaways, exercise demonstrations, and much, much more!  Learn more at www.cibsbedstuy.org.

Studio Strut (Saturday, October 20)
