Nets Top Heat In Barclays Center Opener

Brooklyn holds off late Heat rally to take first win of season.

The Brooklyn Nets opened their home court Friday night with a statement win over the defending champion Miami Heat, 101-100.

The Nets led by 11 with less than five minutes to play in the fourth quarter, but couldn't put the visitors away until the last seconds ticked off the clock.

Paul Pierce and Joe Johnson each put up 19 points for the new-look Nets, and the Brooklyn bench outscored Miami's 36 points to just 22.
