Kangaroos Basketball Will Head to MSG for the PSAL Class AA Final
After a big win this weekend, the Boys and Girl high school players will head to the Garden for the finals.
Kangaroos will head to Madison Square Garden for the fifth time in six years for the PSAL Class AA final, after beating Coney Island’s Lincoln High 72-63, says the New York Post.
Senior Leroy “Truck” Fludd scored 20 points and 12 rebounds, but the Post calls junior guard Wesley Myers the powerhouse of the night, with 21 points, five rebounds and four assists.
The Post suggests that the old rivalry between Boys and Girls and Lincoln High has changed, with Boys and Girls taking a significant step forward now that they have two titles at the Garden already under their belt, and with Saturday’s big win, a chance at a third.

“I don't think it really sunk in yet, but it's definitely a great feeling,” Boys and Girls coach Ruth Lovelace told the paper. “There are only two teams to go and to be blessed to be one of them feels really amazing.”
