Ujima Community Working Together (Ujima CWT), Inc., a 501(c)3, grassroots organization in Brooklyn, New York’s Bushwick community, is excited to announce its 2nd Annual - Stop The Violence (STV 2012) event on Sat., August 4, 2012, 12 – 4pm in the schoolyard of P.S. 299, on Bushwick Avenue and Madison Street. As we did at STV 2011, we will be serving frankfurters, hamburgers, juice and water free of charge to all attendees. This one day event with long range intent offers our youth, sustainable alternatives to violence/crime and will place these viable resources right in their hands.  Youth/Teens will leave STV 2012, not only with renewed hope, but, with the tools to effect immediate change in their lives. Ujima Community Working Together, Inc., is thanking you in advance for supporting STV 2012.

Chris Rock said it best, African Americans are shown more 'love' for doing a 'bid' and getting outRead More of prison than to graduate school with a degree. When this 'hood mentality' starts to change, then you will see more than a trickle of AA passing advanced math courses.
