Belly Dance Classes!

Learn some new hip moves, develop power and grace in your core and arms, and have fun dancing to music from all over the Middle East! This course will focus on Egyptian style raks baladi and raks sharki (Egyptian belly dance). Through the investigation of these traditional dance forms, students can build mental, physical and spiritual health in a friendly, supportive environment. Each class  begins  with a warm up composed of raks sharki undulations and hip moves. Students will dance to a variety of musical forms (classical Egyptian, baladi, saidi, sha’abi, etc.) The last few minutes of each Sunday will be devoted to developing a short choreography. All skill levels welcome.
