FRESH START HOME RESOURCE EXPO

Get the tools you need as a homeowner or renter at the Fresh Start Home Resource Expo on Saturday June 16, 2012 from 10AM – 3PM.  Brought to you by Bridge Street Development Corporation (BSDC), the Fresh Start Home Resource Expo will feature local organizations that can help you learn how to buy your first home, maintain your current home or reduce your energy costs.  

The event will also feature organizations that provide free counseling on wealth building, budgeting, credit repair, and foreclosure prevention.  Whatever your situation, the Fresh Start Home Resource Expo will feature tools to help you get a fresh start! 

Attendees will be able to partake in free educational workshops on various topics including the first time home buying process; foreclosure prevention, and the importance of insurance.  In addition, Home Depot will provide information on how to fix up your home through DIY home repairs.

Participants will include Restored Homes, the NYC Office of Emergency Management, Parodneck Foundation, Retrofit NYC Block by Block, the Pratt Area Community Council, National Grid, Met Life Insurance and Home Loans, NYC Office of Housing Preservation and Development, Home Depot, Custom Metal Products, Greaves Financial Services, the Home Inspection Agency, Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation Financial Empowerment, Chase Homeownership, the Coalition for the Improvement of Bedford-Stuyvesant, NYS Energy Audits, the NYC Dep. Of Consumer Protection, and many more
