BGHS Teacher Fined, But Not for Harassment Allegations

Gym teacher Stanley Feldman was accused of flirting with female students and calling them "sexy."

A Boys and Girls High School gym teacher was fined $1,500 for inappropriate comments, but was not reprimanded for allegations that he flirted with his female students, according to the Daily News.

Last year, an investigation was launched after accusations were made that teacher Stanley Feldman (a 30-year public school veteran who the News says makes “a little over $100,000” yearly), told female students that they looked “sexy,” inviting them to his house after their 18th birthday, and showing them a dirty cartoon on his cell phone, the report says.

A state arbitrator ruled that the students were not credible witnesses, but fined Feldman $1,500 for using language “to belittle students,” according to the News (Feldman is appealing the fine in state Supreme Court).
