Back-to-School Blues? Share Your Experience With Fellow Bed-Stuy Parents

Family Room blog is open for local parents to discuss the issues, or share their own tips for building strong families in town.

Summer is over, kids are back to school and chances are that downtime is needed to back up the family photos you’ve stored up on your phones over the summer.

But it’s not easy, sending your kids off to school. Many parents this week sent children to kindergarten for the first time, saw their pre-teen graduate to middle school hallways, or watched their high schooler beam over driving himself to school at last.

Our Bed-Stuy Family Room blog hopes to be the place where parents can share their thoughts on issues like back-to-school, or to share any advice on building strong local families.

Sharing is easy.

Visit the Bed-Stuy Family Room blog here and click on the open text box under the heading to create a post.

Or, from the homepage, follow these steps:

  • Sign in to your Patch. (Click “Join” if you don’t have an account yet.)

  • Click the "Blogs" tab, near the top of the homepage and then locate the Bed-Stuy Family Room blog in the left-hand column. Click on it.

  • Click in the box that says, “Write a new post” and then click on “Article” at the top.

  • Give your post a headline, enter the body of the story and upload your photos.

  • Click “Post now.”

See you at the bus stop.
