Welcome to "MY" BedStuy CNR Nursing Home Black History Celebration

CNR Black History Celebration

Today during my lunch I had the opportunity to pay homage to a man who had a tremendous influence on my life, Joe Bostick. He was honored by the nursing home for his commitment to the BedStuy community through his participation in education through Junior Academy the first African american owned and operated school in the area. What no one in the room was aware of was the fact that Joe had mentored and coached from his AAU team not only me but Mark Jackson Boo Harvey Derrick Chievious Sid Barnett and many more who have gone on to be productive youbg men in their respective communities, which is actually the true way to measure the life of a man! It was beautiful to witness the tribute paid by Councilmember Al Vann and the wonderful Keynote address by the Hon Judge Betty Staton. We were joined by the most beautiful group of seniors in the country. Let's Go BedStuy
