Yom Kippur in Bed Stuy!

Jewish High Holidays coming 'round, and you're wondering "is there anything for the Bed-Stuy Jew in the neighborhood?" Wonder no longer...

Wow! It's been a great couple months rockin' the Jewish scene in Bed-Stuy! When I first started talking to people about doing Jewish things in this neck of the woods, some people were surprised, others thrilled, but generally, it seemed like a pretty novel idea. Well, a couple of months down the road, and things have really warmed up. The best part about is definitely the people--everyone I meet is super nice, and it's been a great experience so far. Looking forward for more.

I did a Google search for "Jewish Bed Stuy," and my blog post on the Patch here a couple months about that came up first... That's great and all, but I'm thinking that we've got to up the results a wee bit more. So, just for fun, type in "Yom Kippur Bed Stuy" and see what comes up. That's right--we're making it happen right here in Bed Stuy for Yom Kippur. You can check out the details here http://www.jewishbedstuy.com/ and see what's going on. But for a brief run, here's the low-down:

I'm really looking forward to seeing a great group there, and it should be a terrific "first" for Bed-Stuy. You'll get a smile at the door!
