Purim in Bed-Stuy - Smashing Success!

Well, it was a Purim to remember here in the Stuy!

Purim is a Jewish holiday celebrated with much merry-making, including dressing up in costumes, delivering food packages to each other, giving charity to the less fortunate, and eating a festive meal (

At the event, the Megillah (traditional scroll that tells the story of old) was read for all to hear. Food, drinks, and good times were shared thereafter. The "Drink n' Draw" was just as the name professed, with the people all having a great time drawing, painting, and using their creativity while enjoying the sumptious desserts and wine served.

Followed with a musical session singing traditional Purim and other Jewish songs, all in all, it was a great time!
