Patch Is Collecting Questions for Obama and Romney During the Next Presidential Debate

If you have a question for the candidates, submit it in the comments section below and it could be asked during the televised Oct. 16 Town Hall Presidential Debate.

If last Wednesday’s presidential debate left you with more questions than answers, here’s your chance for the presidential candidates to address the issues that most matter to you and your neighbors.

The next presidential debate will be a town hall meeting format at Hofstra University in Long Island, where voters will ask President Obama and Mitt Romney about domestic and foreign policy.

Patch is asking you, our readers, to participate by submitting questions for the candidates.

All you have to do is post your question in the comments section below and we’ll send it to the Commission on Presidential Debates. The Commission is partnering with Patch's parent company Aol, along with Google and Yahoo, to take questions from web users across the country.

Don’t wait until Nov. 6 to have a say in this year’s election. Share your thoughts in the comments!

For Romney: How do you say the middle class will get a tax break when you want to reduce the rate but also disallow many of the deductions now allowed; which in the end makes the middle class pay more taxes.

He went on to say that after the smoke akd mirrors have cleared, everyone will be paying the same tax as they are now. He also added that that entire rigamarole will add 12 million new jobs.

Joe, this may be an excellent question to ask both candidates but realize that this is will be a live telecast and it's a safe guess that neither debaters will even know where the Fort Greene housing projects are. If the question was asked, their honest answer would probably be they have no idea but they would look into the question. You would be better off calling Mayor Bloomberg's weekly call-in radio show on 770 WOR-AM and ask him.

For both President Obama and Governor Romney: 1) Do you believe that global warming is both a national and international crisis that has to be acknowledged worldwide and what specific actions would you take during your term of office? 2) A national petition of over 48,000 persons calling upon both of you to address gun control after the Aurora, CO tragedy were delivered to you. Please tell the American people what your plan is for increased gun control measures? 3) Do you support the growing national effort for a constitutional amendment to overturn the US Supreme Court's Citizens United vs. FEC decision that said corporations are people?

I and a lot of other Americans do Harriet. Liberals wanted everything from Bush yet silence when it comes to Obama.
