Meet The Candidates

Exclusive video from Patch of your candidates running for city council, borough president and the office of the district attorney.

On Monday, the Brooklyn Movement Center joined Brown Memorial Community Development Corporation and FUREE to kicks off a 2013 voter engagement campaign with a candidate meet-up at Sanders Studio in Clinton Hill.

The coalition invited candidates currently running for city council in the 56th and 57th districts covering most of Central Brooklyn, along with all the candidates running for Kings County District Attorney and the candidates for Brooklyn Borough President.

By all accounts, the event was a success: Of the 14 invited candidates, 12 attended the forum.

Each of the aspiring local representatives were given three minutes to share with the audience their platform for the upcoming race and how they will distinguish themselves from their opponents if elected.
