In Photos: Al Vann, 38 Years Of Service

Bed-Stuy honors outgoing councilman.

Saturday night, Bed-Stuy residents and local leaders gathered to celebrate the nearly four decades of public service of city Councilman Al Vann. 

The event was held Saturday at the Memorial Hall of Concord Baptist Church in Bed-Stuy, where students, parents, and community residents gathered to offer the retiring Vann best wishes. 

Vann was joined at the celebration by contemporaries in government including U.S. Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, Comptroller John Liu, Assemblyman Walter Mosely and more.
