Two Suspects Wanted in Connection with Putnam Ave Homicide

Police have a lead on the suspects and are seeking the public's assistance

81st Precinct Police are seeking the public's assistance in the location of two suspects wanted in connection with the murder of Albert Hurst of Powell Street in Brownsville.

Hurst, 34, was shot in the head in front of 749 Putnam Avenue on Friday, August 26, at approximately 3:30am. When police arrived, they found the victim with one gunshot wound to the head and unresponsive. The victim was transported to Interfaith Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There are no arrests at this time, but police officers have a lead on two suspects: A 20-25-year-old black male, 5'4"-5'6" with cornrows; and a 20-25 year old black male, 5'9"-5'11" with black hair.
