Three Monday Night Shootings in Bed-Stuy Leave Two Injured

Victim shot in the chin while fleeing a robbery at gunpoint

Police arrested two teens on Monday following reports of gunfire behind the McDonald's Restaurant on 1883 Atlantic Avenue. According to reports, cops responded to a call of shots fired at McDonald's on Monday, December 10, at around 5:15 p.m. At the scene, officers observed seven males running. They were able to catch and arrest two of the men involved in the shooting, ages 15 and 16. So far, no injuries have been reported, and the investigation is ongoing.

Also on Monday, immediately following the McDonald's shooting, PSA officers at Kingsborough Houses observed and reported an 18-year-old man found injured on the bench in front of 708 Kingsborough Walk, with a gunshot wound to his left torso. The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. The case is under investigation.

An hour later on Monday, at approximately 6:15 p.m., officers responded to a call of a man shot in front of 652 Madison Street. Upon arrival at the scene, officers observed the victim sitting in a chair in front 652 Madison street with a gunshot wound to his chin. According to the victim, he was leaving a store, at 231 Reid Avenue, when two unknown men approached him and attempted to steal his Beats headphones and iPhone at gunpoint. When the victim tried to run, one of the men shot at him, hitting him in the chin. The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. The case is under investigation.
