Tattoo Parlor Employee Shot on Marcus Garvey Blvd Sunday

Perpetrator is at large; the investigation is ongoing

Police are on the hunt for a suspect involved in a Sunday night shooting on Marcus Garvey Boulevard.

According to reports, police received a 911 call on Sunday, November 25, at approximately 10:30 p.m. of man shot inside of 430 Inkz, a tattoo parlor located at 379 Marcus Garvey Boulevard.

Upon arrival, police found the man, identified as Cory McLean, 29, lying on his side at the scene -- where he is also an employee -- with one gunshot wound to the left side of his head. Several witnesses stated an unknown black male entered the location and fired one shot at the victim without saying a word and then ran down Marcus Garvey Blvd towards Hancock St.

The victim immediately was transported to Interfaith Hospital, where he survived but is listed in critical condition.

The detective squad is currently working the case.
