Man shot in leg after pointing gun at police on Saturday.

An officer shot and injured a suspect in Bed-Stuy on Saturday afternoon after a brief chase on Hart Street, police said over the weekend.

According to police, two officers were on a quality of life call near 227 Hart Street on Saturday when they saw two men being chased by a 26-year-old man with a gun.

The officers gave chase, yelling for the suspect with the weapon to stop and drop the gun. The suspect then turned, according to the police, and pointed his gun at one of the officers, who fired a shot into the leg of the suspect.
