Report: Miriam Carey's Family Questioned in Bed-Stuy

Miriam Carey, the Connecticut woman who crashed her car into the White House gates and caused a Capitol Hill shutdown this week, once lived in Bed-Stuy, according to a report on News 12. 

Carey was shot and killed during the incident Thursday. According to News 12, the New York Police Department sent detectives to her family's Bed-Stuy home Thursday night.  

Capitol Hill police are still working to piece together the incident.

It is the second time in less than a month that a suspect in a Washington D.C. incident has had Bed-Stuy connections. The family of Washington Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis also lives in the neighborhood.
