Police Seeking Burglary Suspect

A burglary and a shooting within the confines of the 81st Precinct

Burglary:

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for burglary withint he confines of the 81st Precinct:

On Monday, February 21, 2011 at approximately 5:30 pm, an unknown person entered 262 Van Buren Street and removed a flat screen TV and DVD player. A short time later an individual is captured on video attempting to sell the same television.

The Suspect is described as a dark skinned, black male wearing a leather jacket, red hoodie and black knit cap. A video of the suspect is attached.

On Thursday, March 24, 2011 at approximately 9:55 pm, police responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot in the lobby of 128 Lewis Avenue (Roosevelt Houses), within the confines of the 81 precinct. Upon arrival, police found the victim, identified as Ikyum Moore, 19, of 1488 Irving Avenue, with a gunshot wound to the head. Moore's family has been notified.

Emergency vehicles responded to the location and pronounced the victim DOA. There are no arrest(s) at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.DOA
