Police Looking for Utica Avenue Subway Shooter

No arrests have been made.

Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a teen suspect wanted in connection with a shooting and attempted assault at the Utica Avenue A-train subway on Wednesday, February 6, at approximately 10:36 a.m.

According to police reports, following an altercation between the suspect and and another teen, a 16-year-old male, the suspect began chasing the victim out of the subway onto the street.

The suspect then began shooting at the victim. However, the bullets missed the suspect and struck the jacket of an innocent byastander, a 49-year-old man. No one was harmed.

The suspect is described as a black male teen. He was wearing a black jacket and a hoodie (see photo).

Police are still investigating the incident, and no arrests have been made.
