Police Searching for Nostrand Ave Subway Robber

The same suspect was described in two subway robberies over the weekend

Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a man wanted in connection with two subway robberies in the confines of the 67th and Bed-Stuy's 79th Precincts. 

Incident 1 
On Friday, July 12, at around 10:15 p.m., a man was robbed on the platform of the Nostrand Ave A/C subway line. The victim, 24,  was sitting on the platform bench when an unknown man approached him, pulled out a gun and demanded money. The victim handed over $40 in cash and the robber fled the station in an unknown direction.

Incident 2 
On Saturday, July 13, at around 7:30 a.m., a man was robbed on the staircase of the Newkirk Ave 2/5 subway line. The victim, 52, said he was exiting the station up the staircase when an unknown man approached him, pulled out a gun and demanded money. The victim handed over $60 in cash and the robber fled the station in an unknown direction.

The suspsect is described as a black male between the age of 18 and 25 years old, 5 foot 6 to 5 foot 9, thin build, wearing a New York Yankees baseball hat, a red t-shirt, jeans and dark-colored sneakers.
