Police on the Hunt for Subway Bandits

Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying two transit robbers

Police are looking for two men wanted for a subway robbery in Bed-Stuy.

On Friday, April 6, at approximately 5:00 p.m. a 19-year-old man was walking on the northbound "C" train platform at the Franklin Avenue subway station when two unknown suspects approached him, displayed a firearm and grabbed his chain before fleeing the station. 

The first suspect is described as a black or Hispanic male, 25-20 years old, standing between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-8, with a neatly trimmed beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with a gray shirt, dark jeans and black hat.

The second suspect is is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, standing between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8 with short hair. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket with the letters "U.S.A" across the chest, blue jeans and a blue hat.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS(8477). All calls are strictly confidential.The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of this incident.
