Police Looking for Man Who Shot Man in the Foot on Malcolm X Blvd Tuesday

The New York City Police Department is on the hunt for a 19-year-old man who shot another man in the foot following an altercation on Malcolm X Boulevard Tuesday night.

The victim, a 52-year-old man, reported that on Tuesday at around 10:00 p.m. he was standing in front of 229 Malcolm X Blvd. when got into an argument with the suspect regarding the victim's 9-year-old son. The suspect then pulled out a gun, shot the man one time in the foot and then fled.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated.

The suspect is described as a black male with a thin build, and approximately 5 foot 8. He was last seen on Tuesday wearing a black doo-rag (scarf) and a black and white striped shirt.

Video surveillance caught an image of the suspect, and police are asking for the public's assistance in his capture.
