Police Investigating Monday Night Shooting on Herkimer Street

Two men were injured, are expected to recover

Police are looking for the shooter(s) responsible for injuring two men in Bed-Stuy Monday night.

According to the victims, ages 17 and 20, they were standing outside of 701 Herkimer Street (at Malcolm X Boulevard) talking to friends at around 10:30pm when suddenly they heard gunshots and then felt pain.

When police arrived on the scene, they found both males lying in the street. One was shot in the lower back and the other was shot once in his right foot. Both victims were transported to Kings County Hospital with non life threatening injuries and expected to recover.

Police surveyed the site and found shell Shell casing. The detective squad is working the case, and the investigation is ongoing.

Makes no sense that these kids were taken to Kings County when Interfaith Hospital is between Troy and Albany from Herkimer to Atlantic!!!

I say the same thing. But Kings County is equipped to deal with injuries resulting from stabbings and shootings. So most life-threatening physical assaults are transported there automatically.

kings county are gun shot professionals, interfaith is better for cuts or anal abrasions
