On Thursday, October 13, at approximately 12:30pm, a 30-year-old man was shot twice in the leg and once in the ankle following a dispute with two other men. According to the victim, two men walked up to him on the corner of MacDougal Street and Howard Avenue. After a confrontation ensued, one of the men pulled out a Tech-9 handgun and started shooting. Police are again advising the public to always be aware of their surroundings and watch out for their iPods and other personal possessions when walking on the street. They advise that you occasionally switch up your route and always keep your hand-held electronics hidden.

Also, police are taking candy and monetary donations for a Halloween Party in the Park sponsored by the 81st Precinct, on 30 Ralph Avenue. You can drop off your candy donations with the community affairs officers, but “Do not give it to the guys at the window, because they’ll eat it!”
