Police Arrest Suspect in Sunday Morning Shooting
David Taplin was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon, but the case is still under investigation
81st Precinct police are investigating a shooting of a 50-year-old woman Sunday morning on Halsey Street.
According to police reports, cops received a call at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 2, of a woman shot in the basement of 632 Halsey Street.
Upon arrival they found a woman shot once in the left thigh lying in front of 515 Halsey. She was immediately transported to Kings County Hospital non life threatening injuries.

Police canvassed the basement and found shell casings and retrieved a firearm. A suspect, David Taplin, 45, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon. The case is still under investigation.
