Police Arrest Suspect in Hancock Street Shooting

Suspect allegedly shot victim in the back Aug. 3.

Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a homicide committed earlier this month in Bed-Stuy, the New York Daily News reported.

The incident occurred on Aug. 3, when the suspect allegedly got into a fight with his victim on Hancock Street. When the victim turned to run, the suspect reportedly shot him in the back.

The victim, Paul Ridley, was reportedly taken to Kings County Hospital where he was declared dead. 

The Daily News listed the suspect as Patrick Laney, 32, and said he is charged with murder, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of a firearm.
