NYPD Seeks Information on Franklin Ave. Subway Robber

Police are seeking information that will lead to the arrest of suspect Hector Cancel.

The New York City Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating one of two suspects who are wanted in connection with a robbery at the Franklin Avenue subway station in April, 2012.

On April 6, 2012, at approximately 5:00 p.m. a 19-year-old man was walking on the northbound C train platform at the Franklin Avenue station two men approached him and robbed him at gunpoint of a gold chain he was wearing around his neck.

One of the suspects, the gunman, identified as Berthony St. John of East 52nd Street in Brooklyn, has been arrested. Police are still seeking information that will assist in the arrest of the second suspect, who has been identified as Hector Cancel, an Hispanic male, 22 years old, 5 foot 9, and weighs approximately 170 pounds.
