A mugger in Bed-Stuy assaulted and robbed a 71-year-old woman in Bed-Stuy Thursday afternoon, igniting a police manhunt in the local precinct.
Police are looking for a suspect who they say robbed a senior citizen on Macon Street in the 81st Precinct Thursday afternoon around 2:30 p.m.
The suspect allegedly approached his victim from behind and choked her before grabbing her purse and knocking her to the ground.
The suspect then ran, taking the victim's MetroCard, keys, purse and credit cards.
The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital.
The suspect is described as a man in his 30's or 40's with a long goatee wearing a black tank top, black jeans and black sneakers. He was roughly 200 pounds.
