Man Shot, Injured Inside Barber Shop on Marcy Ave

Police are still looking for the shooter

Police are investigating a Thursday night shooting at a Bed-Stuy barber shop that left one man injured.

According to police reports, on Thursday, March 7, at approximately 7:13 p.m., a man was shot at while getting his hair cut at a barber shop, located at 613 Marcy Avenue at the corner of Willoughby Avenue.

The victim, 22, was sitting in the barber's chair when an unidentified man suddenly swung the door open to the shop, extended his arm inside and fired three shots at the victim, hitting him once in the shoulder and twice in the leg.

The victim admitted himself to Woodhull Hospital. Police were called to the crime scene, conducted a canvass of the area with negative results. Police then located the victim at Woodhull, at which time he was transferred to Bellevue Hospital.

The victim is reported in stable condition.

Police are investigating the incident.
