Man Shot in the Stomach Sunday on Quincy Street

The investigation is ongoing

81st Precinct Police are investigating details surrounding the shooting of a 45-year-old man  Sunday night on Quincy Street.

According to police, on Sunday, December 9, at approximately 10:40 p.m., a man was shot once in the abdomen while sitting in his friend's car on the corner of Quincy Street and Patchen Avenue.

The victim was sitting on the passenger side of his friend's car when an unknown man wearing dark clothing approached the driver, pulled out a gun and said, “Give me what you got.” The driver then attempted to pull off, but the gunman fired a single shot hitting the passenger.

The driver transported the victim to Woodhull hospital where he was treated and is in good condition.

Police are still investigating the details surrounding what the driver and the victim were doing at above location and possible motives for the shooting.
