Man Shot Friday Morning on Decatur Street

No arrests have been made

Police are looking for a suspect who shot an innocent bystander on Decatur Street Friday morning.

According to police, Friday, September 7, at approximately 12:24 a.m., 81st Precinct police received a 911 call of a man shot in front of 162 Decatur Street between Lewis Ave and Marcus Garvey Blvd.

The victim, Mitchell Mcnair, 39, said he was walking home when he heard several gunshots. Mcnair was hit in the back and the neck. He said he saw a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt run east on Decatur Street.

The victim was transported Kings County Hospital where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
