Police are investigating the shooting death of a man on Gates Avenue who was murdered early Monday morning while sitting in his car.
According to police, the 35-year-old victim was double-parked in front of 387 Gates Avenue between Beford and Nostrand on Monday, June 19, at approximately 1:50 a.m., when an unknown man approached his vehicle and fired multiple rounds into the car, striking the victim four times in the chest, once in the neck and once in the head.
The victim was pronounced dead at 2:20 a.m., en route to Woodhull Hospital.
The perpetrator is unknown and the 79t Precinct Detective Squad is seeking witnesses or leads into the incident.
