A man is at Kings County Hospital in critical condition after a hit-and-run accident on Atlantic Avenue at Franklin.
The man, who appeared to be in his 40s, was hit just before 9:13 p.m., police and fire officials said. He was taken to Kings County Hospital.
The car that hit the man is "possibly a Jaguar," police said, adding that it is light colored and has a damaged windshield.
Nearly two hours after the accident, the eastbound side of Atlantic Avenue was still blocked to traffic between Franklin and Bedford avenues.
Three police cars guarded the scene and cops were still interviewing potential witnesses.
