Man Dies in Auto Accident on Atlantic Ave Early Sunday Morning

Police are reporting a single-motor accident on Atlantic and Kingston Avenues

A 38-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning after crashing into a stantion while driving down Atlantic Avenue.

According to police reports, the man, identified as Kenneth Dalrymple of Tobyhanna, PA, was driving his vehicle, a 2009 Black Infiniti four-door sedan,  westbound on Atlantic Avenue at Kingston Avenue, when he inadvertently struck a stantion on Atlantic Avenue on Sunday, March 3, just after midnight.

There was one other passenger in the driver's seat who sustained minor injuries.

Emergency personnel arrived on the scene and transported the driver to Interfaith Hospital. He sustained severe trauma to the body and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The passenger, a 26-year-old woman, was transported to Kings County Hospital and is in stable condition.

According to police, no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
